Job Description
Utility equipment operation
- Manage and oversee the daily operations of a utility equipment including incineration boilers.
- Monitor operations for efficiency and safety ensuring that all applicable regulatory requirements are followed
- Responsible for leading and managing a team of operations, maintenance, and plant support employees.
- Demonstrate the ability to lead others toward meeting or exceeding financial, operational, and performance goals in a power generation environment.
- Optimise steam & power production, boiler capacity and flexibility while minimising unnecessary costs and maintaining USL EHS standards
- Responsible for utility uptime and efficiency
- Monitor operations and trigger corrective actions
- Collect and analyse data to find places of waste or overtime
- Supervise boiler turbine and substation operations, maintenance, repair, or testing activities.
Performance and support
- Review logs, datasheets, or reports to ensure efficiency levels and safe production environments or to identify abnormalities with steam and power equipment or processes.
- Review boiler operations performance specifications to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Supervise Utility operations, maintenance, repair, or testing activities..
- Inspect processes, equipment, and facilities for ways to maximize capacity and minimize operating costs.
- Conduct field inspections of boiler turbine and other equipment to ensure normal and safe operating conditions.
Documentation and Reporting
- Document / Report maintenance qne review activities in boiler.
- Maintain a list of all spares available , maitain inventory of mechanical spare parts & boiler fuel in boiler.
- Follow maintenance strategies, procedures & methods outlined in the maintenance manual
- Measure and monitor Utility consumption reporting.
EHS
- Working on SFIP / GRMS requirement as per Diageo standards
Adherences to statutory compliance as per Boiler Act
