Senior Executive - Planning(India)

Objective

This Demand Planning position is responsible for all forecasting activities

associated with customers and products & location. The Demand Planner

creates and maintains forecast models for the customers, incorporating

business intelligence and forecast information gathered from Business,

finance, replenishment analysts, and other source of supply.

The Demand Planner is the integration point into the Business , Operations

and commercial organization. Basic Demand & Supply Planning, coordination

with source on Monthly Indents & Importation formalities is the responsibility

of this position. This position leads the dialogue each month for their

respective internal customers and products with for Business Inventory

planning

Roles and Responsibilities

DEMAND PLANNING

o Drive S & OP discussions & support Business in creating a Forecast

model well aligned with the consumption & seasonality.

o Raising orders on Local as well as international units for procurement of

products based on demand plan

o Consider the Specific consumption pattern per state & arrive at an

accurate Item level forecast.

SUPPLY PLANNING

o Based on the demand & Stocking norms , Share forecasts with the

source of supply.

o Work closely with the Source on the shipment plan considering the lead

times.

o Ensure the Shipment plan is on track.

IMPORTATION

o Work with the House agent, Import executive to ensure documents are

shared on time.

o Have the Regulatory licenses, tracking ready for clear documentation for

import

o Work with the Handling agent on queries if any.

o Ensure compliance with Legal Metrology norms & align the product

labelling etc.

INVENTORY MANAGEMENT

o Work diligently with business to optimize inventory

o Ensure there is no Slow moving inventory thru proper planning

o Manage the overall inventory , Ensure Write off periodically to maintain

the health of stocks.

o Ensure vendor bills are submitted to the payables for timely payments

OTHERS

o Get accustomed to the Quality, Six Sigma culture to improve the

processes.

o Drive routine, cross functional projects.

Job Requirements

Bachelors in any stream, MBA in Operations preferable.

Minimum 5 years of experience

Exposure to SAP MM Module

IT skills involve Excel, PPT, new tools

Problem solving approach

Good written & spoken communication skills

Role Specific

Should have worked on Demand & Supply Planning

Should know basics of Warehouse operations

Knowledge of import, custom clearance procedures, SAP

Able to work under pressure

Stick to deadlines
