MyYogaTeacher is a well funded Silicon Valley startup with headquarters based in California, USA and Bangalore, India. We have a marketplace product for Yoga where we connect incredible Yoga Teachers from India with clients around the world (right now, mostly in the US), for online 1-on-1 Yoga sessions. These sessions transform our clients lives getting them in great fitness, great health, and deep peace of mind.

Our office is fun! There are dinner outings and drinks, we play pictionary, sports play outings after work hours and open pantry for snacks. We take all expense paid company trips to Goa, Ooty and Chikmagalur to celebrate the success of our work.

We have a team of 60 people across various functions Engineering, QA, Marketing, Customer Support, Design, Operations and Executive Leadership. We hire extremely skilled, smart, trustworthy, kind, supportive, and caring people. You will be working in a stimulating environment.

Being a seed funded company, there is a tremendous scope for growth for people joining at this stage. You could potentially catapult 5-10 years of your career by working in a team like ours! You will be working closely with the executive leadership.

The CEO is Jitendra Gupta, and this is his 3rd business. His previous venture (Punchh) was acquired for $500 Million in 2021. He has hand picked everyone on the team.

Human Resource Manager

Looking for a trail blazing Human Resources Extraordinaire to join our team !!

As a Human Resource Manager at MyYogaTeacher, you will play a crucial role in fostering a supportive and engaging environment for our employees. Your role will involve creating and implementing strategies to attract, retain, and develop top talent while ensuring our workplace culture aligns with our values of empathy, collaboration, and innovation.

Expected experience: 3+ years

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the recruitment and selection process.
  • Bridge management and employee relations by addressing demands, grievances, or other issues.
  • Nurture a positive working environment.
  • Support current and future business needs through the development, engagement, motivation, and preservation of human capital.
  • Develop and monitor overall HR strategies, systems, tactics, and procedures across the organization.
  • Oversee and manage a performance appraisal system that drives high performance.
  • Maintain pay plan and benefits programs.
  • Assess training needs to apply and monitor training programs.
  • Ensure legal compliance throughout human resource management.

Administrative Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily administrative operations including office facilities management, office supplies, and equipment maintenance.
  • Coordinate with external vendors and service providers for office-related needs.
  • Manage company events, meetings, and other activities, ensuring all logistical aspects are covered.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records and office documentation.
  • Handle administrative tasks related to travel and accommodation arrangements for employees.
  • Oversee health and safety compliance within the office environment.
  • Assist in budgeting and monitoring expenses related to administrative activities.
  • Ensure the office operates efficiently and effectively on a day-to-day basis.

Qualifications:

  • Proven working experience as HR Manager or other HR Executive.
  • People-oriented and results-driven.
  • Demonstrable experience with Human Resources metrics.
  • Knowledge of HR systems and databases.
  • Ability to architect strategy along with leadership skills.
  • Excellent active listening, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Competence to build and effectively manage interpersonal relationships at all levels of the company.
  • In-depth knowledge of labor law and HR best practices.
  • Degree in Human Resources or related field.

Desired Skills:

  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office and HR software (e.g., HRIS or HRMS).
  • Ability to handle sensitive information confidentially.
