The Role
As a Senior Cost Estimator with Worley, you will work closely with our existing team to deliver projects for our clients while continuing to develop your skills and experience etc.
To be considered for this role it is envisaged you will possess the following Job-Specific Knowledge:
- Familiarity with AACEI Estimate Classification system for Class 1,2,3,4 &5 of Estimates and an ability to independently develop all types of Cost Estimates (AACEI Class 1 to 5).
- Utilize cost methodologies and tools to produce cost estimates for the individual parts of the scope and overall project inclusive of engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning and start-up scope and costs.
- Developing Estimate Plan (Methodology to be adopted) during the initial phase of Estimate detailing how the estimate will be developed.
- Translate the identified project scope and engineering deliverables into the estimate of capital expenditure costs as per detailed MTOs matched with detailed pricing and construction unit hours. Identify areas of uncertainty and apply appropriate allowances.
- Ability to develop scope independently from P&IDs and engineering or construction drawings.
- Sound knowledge for field installation workhours for estimates related to Pipeline, Mechanical, Piping, Civil, Structural, Electrical and Instrumentation works.
- Segregate Estimates by Construction Works Area/Construction work packages
- Conducting Productivity Analysis, Analysis of Market Trends, Bulk Material Pricing, Derivation of EPCM Services & Common Distributable, Escalation Analysis, Bid Analysis and Contingency Analysis.
- Familiar with local supplier network for obtaining vendor budgetary quotations.
- Added advantage for having worked for PSUs on Total Installed Costs (TIC) estimates for feasibility study, FEED and Construction Cost Estimates.
- Develop Basis of Estimate (BOE) Report including assumptions, exclusion for Class 3 or Class 2 type of Estimates to document how the estimate was developed.
- Participate in cost and schedule risk analyses and provide mitigation proposals to the project teams. Provide cost engineering advice (including estimating, planning, cost control and risk analysis) to project teams and other stakeholders.
- Ensure that all relevant regional factors are taken into account when preparing estimates by organizing and participating in location surveys and data research.
- Benchmarking of Estimates and Manage Estimating Data - Establish the process to collect actual cost performance, condition and normalize data for future use, develop metrics and benchmarking information.
About You
To be considered for this role it is envisaged you will possess the following attributes:
- Minimum 15+ years experience in Oil and Gas Industry in Cost Estimation roles. 4 years must be in Lead roles managing a team of cost estimators.
- Minimum 5+ years experience in Brown Field Oil and Gas related project delivery related projects
- Hands On Capability to execute Probabilistic Analysis of Cost Estimates
- Broad knowledge and experience of Cost Estimation tools and practices
- Ability to work and manage in a multi-cultural environment with good understanding of cost estimation parameters to be considered for domestic and international regions.
- Skill to actively engage and develop complete Cost Estimates for all project disciplines.
- Prepare independent Cost Estimates
- Review Cost Estimates prepared by others in the team.
- Preferred: Experience in developing Cost Estimates for Domestic Indian PSUs and International Regions
- Excellent in written and verbal communication
- Enthusiastic in stakeholder management skills and team player
Education Qualifications
- Required: A full-time Bachelor of Engineering degree from an accredited university.
- Preferred: Graduation qualifications preferably in Civil or Mechanical
