What We're Looking For
SurveyMonkey Enterprise is a powerful survey platform that enables teams and organizations to enhance their existing business ecosystem with People Powered Data. As a result they are able to make smarter, and more data-driven decisions.
The Multi-User Admin team develops the enterprise-grade administration used by the largest enterprise customers at SurveyMonkey. On this team, we develop advanced user and team management features such as asset library management, role based access control, survey branding, and user reporting.
We're looking for a Senior Engineering Manager to lead our Multi-User Admin engineering team in India. As the leader of this team, you'll work closely with various stakeholders both within India and overseas stakes holders across platform and core survey teams within SurveyMonkey. We welcome new ideas and fresh perspectives which can help grow our team and our product.
What You'll Be Working On
- Lead a team of experienced developers and QA engineers to design, build, and scale Multi-User Admin experience
- Strong decision-making skills with the ability to make sound judgments in complex and dynamic situations. This includes prioritizing tasks, resolving conflicts, and mitigating risks
- Hire and retain world-class talent. Build world class engineering teams
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to lead and inspire engineering teams. This includes experience in managing and mentoring engineers, providing technical guidance, and fostering a positive team culture
- Facilitate career growth for your team members through coaching, frequent feedback and providing opportunities to develop their strengths and acquire new skills
- Work closely with UX designers, product managers and development team to build new experiences and key functionality
- Be a key player in cross-team technical initiatives and own the technical aspects of software architecture and development
- Continuously build and expand your own technical expertise as well as drive excellence in engineering within the team
- Responsible for service and uptime SLA's
- Become subject matter expert to guide other stakeholders and engineers
- Responsible for delivering crucial and time sensitive commitments
We'd love to hear from people with
- 5+ years of experience managing successful and high performing teams
- 12+ years of professional software development experience
- Experience leading and shipping large-scale cross functional projects
- Excellent communication skills and ability to present technical information to non-technical stakeholders, and facilitating effective communication within the engineering team.
- Ability to work with both co-located and remote engineers and cross-functional partners
- Experience building consumer-facing high-scale web applications using modern technologies
- Experience working in an Agile environment
- Preferably experience with Python
