We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Engineer with a strong background in utility operations, particularly within the domains of engineering or chemical engineering. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing and optimizing utility systems to ensure efficiency, reliability, and compliance with regulatory standards. Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the operation, maintenance, and optimization of utility systems (such as HVAC, steam, water, compressed air, etc.) to ensure uninterrupted supply and maximum efficiency.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits of utility systems to identify potential issues, inefficiencies, or safety concerns.
- Develop and implement strategies for improving the performance and reliability of utility systems while minimizing costs and environmental impact.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, operations, and maintenance to execute projects and initiatives related to utility systems.
- Stay updated with industry trends, best practices, and regulatory requirements related to utility operations and ensure compliance.
- Provide technical expertise and guidance to junior engineers and technicians within the utility operations team.
- Participate in the design and implementation of new utility systems or upgrades to existing systems.
- Prepare reports, presentations, and documentation related to utility operations, performance metrics, and project updates for management and stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field. A Bachelor's degree with significant relevant experience may be considered.
- Proven experience (minimum 5-7 years) in utility operations, preferably in a senior or leadership role.
- Strong understanding of utility systems including HVAC, steam, water treatment, compressed air, etc.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements and standards related to utility operations (e.g., OSHA, EPA, NFPA).
- Demonstrated ability to lead projects, manage teams, and collaborate effectively with cross-functional groups.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to identify problems, analyse data, and propose effective solutions.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or relevant certifications (preferred)
