Job Description
Circles.Life is looking for an
Application SRE Engineer who will play a crucial role in ensuring the reliability, availability, and performance of our systems and services. You will work closely with our development and operations teams to implement best practices, automate processes, and drive improvements in our infrastructure.
As a key member of our team, your responsibilities include:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and maintain scalable and reliable applications.
- Should have a strong experience in ilities of applications.
- Strong understanding and experience in Observability - monitoring, logging, and tracing.
- Monitor and analyze system performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure rapid incident response and resolution.
- Automate repetitive tasks and processes to improve operational efficiency.
- Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines for continuous integration and delivery.
- Participate in on-call rotation and contribute to incident response and post-incident reviews.
- Perform capacity planning and system scaling to accommodate growth.
- Ensure security and compliance standards are met and maintained.
- Mentor and support junior members of the SRE team.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering or information systems,
- Knowledge of CS fundamentals and knowledge of object-oriented or functional reactive programming concepts.
- Proficiency in scripting and programming languages (e.g., Python, Go, Ruby).
- Experience with containerization and orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
- Strong knowledge of cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP).
- Should have strong experience in one of the Observability tools. (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack).
- Experience with New Relic is a great advantage.
- Strong experience with debugging issues in production environment.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Nice To Have
- Certification in cloud services (e.g., AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Google Professional DevOps Engineer).
- Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible).
- Knowledge of microservices architecture and best practices.
- Have a good understanding of OTEL
- Understanding of agile and DevOps methodologies
