Bachelors degree in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent with 7+ years of professional experience, ideally gained within a financial services industry environment
Thought leadership and ability to influence teams/leadership whilst championing operational improvement initiatives.
Ability to remain calm and organised under pressure, filtering noise to identify issue root cause, and confidently lead others thorough complex change.
Highly advantageous for the candidate to possess some background in AWS core services, network connectivity, cyber security practices, Linux, scripting, monitoring tools, 3rd party IDP integration, vendor managed services, application stacks and familiarity with Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) and ITIL frameworks.
Understanding of development methodologies including Scrum, Agile, Kanban and test-driven development and toolsets (Jira, Confluence) and interfacing with Product Development, Architecture and Engineering teams
Strong written and verbal communication skills. Has helped to develop documentation of technical processes, workflows, processes, procedures, metrics reporting/dashboards and run books.
