Job Description: Performance Tester
We are looking for a Performance Tester with foundational experience in performance testing tools like Neoload and LoadRunner True Client. This role is ideal for a tester early in their career who is eager to grow technical skills, contribute to performance testing initiatives, and work in a collaborative environment to ensure our applications meet performance standards.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Support Test Script Development: Assist in creating, executing, and troubleshooting performance test scripts in Neoload and LoadRunner True Client.
- Execute Test Scenarios: Run load, stress, and other performance test scenarios to evaluate system capabilities and identify potential performance bottlenecks.
- Gather and Analyse Performance Data: Collect performance metrics, analyse results, and support root cause analysis for detected issues.
- Document Findings: Prepare clear and concise documentation on test findings, including metrics, observations, and suggested next steps.
- Collaborate with Senior Testers and Developers: Work closely with team members to gain a deeper understanding of performance issues and optimize testing strategies.
Essential Skills / Attributes Required:
- Basic Knowledge of Neoload and LoadRunner True Client: At least 1.5 - 2 year of hands-on experience with these tools in script creation and execution.
- Understanding of Performance Testing Fundamentals: Familiarity with load, stress, and scalability testing concepts.
- Analytical Mindset: Ability to interpret performance data and detect trends or potential issues.
- Problem-Solving Skills: A logical approach to troubleshooting test failures and anomalies.
- Team Collaboration: Strong interpersonal skills to work effectively within a team and communicate findings clearly.
Desired Skills:
- Basic Scripting Knowledge: Exposure to scripting languages like JavaScript or Python for simple test script adjustments.
- Familiarity with CI/CD Processes: Understanding of how performance testing fits into the broader software development and deployment lifecycle.
- Exposure to Monitoring Tools: Awareness of performance monitoring tools (e.g., Dynatrace, AppDynamics) is a plus.
- Growth Mindset: Willingness to learn, adapt, and continuously improve performance testing skills.
