KEC's Civil business focuses on the construction of factories, warehouses, residential buildings, railway stations, metros, and sewage & water treatment plants, and comprises of four verticals
A. Infrastructure & Heavy Civil (Metro & Water Projects),
B. Industrial & Hydrocarbon (Factories) ,
C. Residential & Public Spaces (Buildings, Commercial Spaces),

Job Summary:
Senior Engineer - Procurement
Key Accountabilities
Duty Statements
Procurement Process : Responsible for P2P Cycle of Procurement including Mechanical & Electrical Packages, from issuing RFQs / RFPs, Technical Evaluations of offers, Collaboration with all External & Internal stake holders, Techno-Commercial Comparisons, Finalizations & issuing LOI/PO to Payment.
Contract Management: Draft, review, and execute contracts with vendors. Ensure compliance with contractual terms and conditions in line with Tender & project requirement.
Risk Management: Identify and mitigate potential risks related to procurement, such as supply chain disruptions, quality issues, market volatility & price
Collaboration: Coordinate with internal stakeholders, such as project managers and department heads, to understand their procurement needs and priorities
Tendering Process : Manage the entire tendering process for Mechanical & Electrical Packages, from issuing RFQs (Request for Quotation) or RFPs (Request for Proposal) to evaluating responses and preparing comparison.
Vendor Management: Identify, evaluate, and select vendors based on factors such as price, quality, and delivery speed. Ensure vendor selection based on categorical expertise in respective segment.
Market Research: Stay informed about market trends, pricing, and industry developments to make informed tender support & purchasing decisions.
Qualifications and Skills :
Bachelor's degree in engineering Mechanical or Diploma Mechanical Engineering with 6-7 Years experience
Proven experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain management.
Strong negotiation skills and the ability to build rapport with vendors.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Knowledge of SAP-MM Module & Microsoft Office (Excel & Power Point)
Analytical mindset with the ability to evaluate bids and make data-driven decisions.
Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Certification in procurement (e.g., CSCP, CPIM) is a plus.
