JR64608 Senior Engineer, Photo Overlay (Evergreen)
Job Description
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Understand the technology challenges with respect to overlay and establish project plans to address them for the N, N+1, and N+2 nodes.
- Work with vendor applications teams to find areas for overlay scribe improvement.
- Drive technical innovation in your area of expertise as a recognized Micron expert in your field.
- Standardize methods and procedures across area, department and/or FABs.
- Define and lead sophisticated, multi-disciplinary projects that are essential to Micron's overlay scribe roadmap. Help to craft strategic decisions.
- Work with process development engineers on issues and projects related to overlay.
- Summarize plans, progress to experimental work, and conclusions in the form of written reports.
- Provide advice and counsel to senior management on technical issues related to overlay scribe.
- Build strong customer relationships to understand customer expectations.
Qualifications for this position include:
- Strong understanding of photolithography. Familiarity with semiconductor process integration is a plus.
- Understanding of optics. Understanding of the principals of photolithography and optical metrology.
- Understanding of how lens aberrations, scanner chuck differences, and process variations can affect overlay.
- Understand various alignment and overlay marks, such as IBO and DBO. Understand how mark type and design can impact overlay errors and non-zero offsets (NZO). Experience with overlay mark simulation software (D4C or MTD) is a plus.
- Ability to develop and maintain relationships with multi-functional teams and suppliers.
- Strong curiosity about research and development and ability to build production-worthy technologies.
- Strong communication skills (written, verbal and presentation).
Education:
M.S./Ph.D. in Engineering, Physics or relevant area of study with 3 years semiconductor lithography experience.
B.S. in Engineering with 5 years semiconductor processing experience with emphasis on Lithography will be considered.
