Job Title: Senior Engineer (R&D)

Client: Leading company in the Aerospace / Defence domain

Location: Bengaluru

Experience: 3 to 6 years (Aerospace, Defense, Automotive or Industrial applications)

Education: Graduate in B.E. / B. Tech / M.Tech in Mechanical Engineering/Aeronautical Engineering or related fields

Role & Responsibilities:

o This position is responsible for designing and developing systems, sub-systems, components and solutions for various electromechanical systems in the aerospace and defence sectors.

o Candidate should be able to design and create new ideas and solutions for new product development.

o Also should be able to simulate system/subsystem/parts and familiar with various simulation tools such as Ansys Workbench and Nastran, Hyper-mesh.

o Candidate should prepare Job Assembly Plan / Work instruction for building Various Test systems/sub-systems.

o Should be able to work closely with the PCB layout engineer regarding data exchange between ECAD and MCAD.

o Be part of a team that applies expertise and knowledge to technical projects, finding innovative, cost-effective means to improve products, techniques and procedures.

Skills required:

o Hands-on experience in the design and development of electro-mechanical systems such as LRUs and Cockpit panels in compliance with MIL-STD-810 and MIL-STD-461

o Experience in designing and developing various test equipment such as ATEs and Test Jigs

o Excellent skills in any or more than one of the 3D design tools viz. SolidWorks, CATIA V5 and NX

o Experience in Technical documentation, BOM preparation and fabrication drawing preparations, Engineering Change Notes (internal/external) and analyzing the impact on the program

o Knowledge of qualification methods of Military Standards MIL-Std-704 / MIL-Std-461 / MIL-Std-810

o In-depth knowledge of ASME drafting standards and GD & T, FMEA etc.,

o Exhibit significant in-depth knowledge of Components, Key Characteristics of parts, processes, techniques, methodologies, tools and equipment used with an enhanced focus on cost, safety, and quality. Implements industry standards, and best practices within the domain

o Demonstrate ability and flexibility to manage multiple and significantly complex projects, and RFPs independently with high autonomy and accountability for results

Desired skills:

o Experience in design simulation using Ansys, Nastran and Hyper-Mesh

o Experience in ESS, SOFT and Qualification Tests at Card level and Unit level

o Knowledge on AS9100/ISO9001 Quality Management System

o Strong engineering experience in Electromechanical design and development

o Component selection, Interface design for Test Jig/Test Rigs, ATEs

o In-depth knowledge of aerospace standards and panel manufacturing process

o Knowledge of DFMEA, PFMEA
