Job Description :-
- Support the ideation, conceptualization, and design of next-generation thermostat models in collaboration with the R&D team. Responsible for the whole research and development process for laying out technical design of the new product on the required software.
- Create detailed design briefs, specifications, and prototypes for new thermostat models, considering functionality, aesthetics, and usability.
- Improving product range by enough market research and keeping the product range up to date with the new trends in technology.
- Implement strategies to improve the quality of existing products, utilizing feedback, market analysis, and technological advancements.
- Conduct market research and analysis to identify emerging trends, user preferences, and technological advancements for integration into product designs.
Process Design and Optimization:
- Develop and refine manufacturing processes for thermostat production, focusing on efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and quality improvement.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline manufacturing workflows, reduce waste, and enhance productivity.
- Implement process improvements and introduce innovative techniques to optimize manufacturing operations.
- Provide technical expertise in thermostat design, materials selection, and manufacturing methodologies.
- Conduct feasibility studies and risk assessments for new design
Quality Assurance:
- Establish quality control measures and standards throughout the design and manufacturing phases to ensure product excellence.
- Work closely with quality assurance teams to address and resolve design or process-related issues.
Required Candidate Profile:-
- Bachelor's/Masters degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field; with min 8 years of progressive leadership experience in R&D and technology innovation within the thermostat or related industry.
- Proven track record in leading successful product development projects from conception to market launch.
- Strong understanding of value engineering, cost reduction methodologies, and quality enhancement techniques.
- Experience in implementing automation and productivity improvement initiatives.
- Proficiency in CAD software and other design tools.
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
