- The role will be predominantly technical, and the individual will be expected to have a good foundation in the following:
- Have a sound experience in ITS design including understanding of ITS design standards and deployment guidelines, preparation of ITS plan layouts, ITS device and cabinet details, ITS conduit and pull-box details, structural elevation plans, ITS communication network design, ITS power requirements, estimation of ITS bill of quantities and traffic control plans
- Good Experience in managing the tasks in International Projects - United States (desirable), Middle East, UK and any other developed countries Having sound experience in the use of relevant software is mandatory
- Demonstrate good teamwork Show evidence of continued professional development
- Developing technical understanding through self-learning and working with mentors
- Able to communicate and work with the NA team including junior and senior engineers
- Responsibility to work to required standards and quality assurance procedures
- Understand and put into practice health and safety requirements
- Develop understanding of company systems
- Having a basic awareness of sustainable development principles
Qualifications & Experience:
- Engineering Degree in Civil Engineering with Masters in Transportation Engineering - With a minimum 8 to 10 years of experience after post-graduation
- Good Knowledge and hands on experience on MicroStation (Mandatory), AutoCAD and knowledge on ArcGIS
- Good understanding and Knowledge on international codes like AASHTO, along with various other International Codes of Practices and Standards, CAD Standards for DOT in USA
- Working experience for International Design Projects for ITS Design and working experience for USA projects in delivering on various multiple project deliverables is desirable. Having work experience on Design & Build Projects is added advantage
- Undertake a leading assurance role to quality-assure outputs (e.g. drawings, reports, specifications, etc.) to ensure that they meet or exceed expectations as well as Arcadis requirements, and that they comply with national standards and codes of practice
- Ability to provide leadership and technical advice to junior team members
- Experience in MS Office software including Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint
- Excellent written and spoken English Strong and effective communicator
- Working in a team environment
- Experience of working on international projects. NA projects is desirable
