JOB REQUISITES

Role Summary

The successful candidate's role will be as a senior engineering designer within the CRC Development team in our Noida office producing detailed highway and drainage engineering designs and construction drawings.

Responsibilities

Responsible for high quality roads designs to the relevant standards and authority requirements, from concept to tender

Conduct required checks and reviews of own teams designs

Supervise, coordinate and support CAD Technicians and Engineers

Understand the contract and scope of project deliverables

Completion of roads design tasks received from Team leader or ME Manager

Provide regular work status updates, including risks or concerns, to line manager

Research and review design options for both technical and economic impact

Ensure statutory and regulatory requirements are met within the design

Stay updated with relevant technical developments within the discipline

Provide feedback to line manager on the team's performance and development requirements

Provide regular project status updates, including risks or concerns, to line manager

Support the companies approach to sustainability

Attend and contribute in team/project meetings as required

The position will report to a Team Leader and ME Manager.

You will be responsible for ensuring your projects are delivered to budget, programme and technical

Contribute to the delivery of the business unit strategy.

Identify improvements (where possible) to enhance WSP ME service to clients

Lead by example and ensure QMS compliance across team

Complete accurate timesheets by set deadline

Feedback on all business development opportunities

Standards and meet QA, CDM, Sustainability and HSE requirements.

We anticipate you will have an interest in the following areas:

oHighway Engineering

oDevelopment Infrastructure Design

oResidential Infrastructure Design

You will have a good knowledge of ME design codes such as Design Manual for Roads and Bridges and Local Authority Design Guides, or their international equivalents and be well versed in the preparation of drawings for technical approval.

You will also be computer literate having experience of pavement and geometric design of highways on an AutoCAD platform using Civil 3D. A proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Word and MS Excel is also expected. Knowledge of the design of drainage and sewers using WINDES or similar software would be advantageous.

Qualifications :

• You will be degree educated You will be degree educated with a degree in Civil Engineering preferably from an IIT University with 4-8 years post-graduate experience with a consultancy or developer.
