About The Role
Senior Engineer will be responsible to deal with complex problems, proactively ensure operational health of the Multi Cloud IT infrastructure as well as advise on the future development of the technological landscape, considering the TMF's strategy and newly available technologies.
The indented purpose of Engineering team is to provide engineering and system integration support to help the operations team to deal with complex problems, proactively ensure operational health of the IT infrastructure as well as advise on the future development of the technological landscape, considering the TMF's strategy and newly available technologies. Engineering support Engineer should also take ownership of Incidents where Operations team Support is not able to work out any temporary workaround due to the l of knowledge. Engineering Support Engineer is also dealing with executing standard changes in a controlled manner and ensuring all the engineering related work in new projects and implementations including proof of concept etc. Supporting the architect teams to ensure the deliverables and tested and implemented in production environments.
- Key Responsibilities and Functions
- Azure/AWS Kubernetes core concepts.
- AKS and Azure Expertise: In-depth knowledge of Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) architecture, components, and best practices for cluster management on the Azure cloud platform.
- Kubernetes Knowledge: Strong understanding of Kubernetes concepts and best practices for container orchestration. Concepts like Pods, ReplicaSets, Deployments,services.
- Azure IaC terraform/biceps.
- Azure devops knowledge to deploy micro services on AKS.
- Containerization Technologies: Familiarity with containerization concepts and technologies, such as Docker and container runtimes.
- Microservice application deployment.
- Spring boot knowledge and Yaml knowledge for deployment of various services.
- Networking: Understanding of networking concepts and how they apply to AKS clusters, including Azure Virtual Networks, Load Balancers, Ingress Controllers/Egress, etc.
- Azure Services: Experience with other Azure services, such as Azure Active Directory, Azure Storage, Azure Monitor, Azure Log Analytics, etc.
- Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC): Proficiency in Azure Resource Manager (ARM) templates and Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools for infrastructure provisioning and configuration.
- Scripting and Automation: Proficiency in scripting languages like PowerShell, Bash, Python, or Go to automate AKS-related tasks.
- Troubleshooting Skills: Ability to troubleshoot complex AKS and container-related issues on Azure.
- Collaboration and Communication: Strong teamwork and communication skills to work with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) or relevant certification would be an added advantage.
Key Competencies And Skills
- 10+ years of overall IT experience in Infrastructure technologies, including 5 years of work experience in senior engineer roles
- Expert in Cloud Technologies, Network Technologies & Distributed computing
- Strong communication skillset; both verbal and written.
- Proven ability to produce and implement ITIL-based procedures.
- Demonstrated ability to manage outsourced service providers.
- Demonstrated leadership through strategic thinking, and leading or initiating Business driven transformations.
- Ability to interpret business needs and translate them to create solutions and adequately document created solutions
Key Knowledge And Experience
- 10+ years of overall IT experience in Infrastructure technologies, including 5 years of work experience in senior engineer roles
- A service mindset/attitude
- University graduate with relevant industry/technology certifications relevant for the expertise domain.
- Ability to analyze, present and support the decision-making process using data.
- Strong understanding of cloud, automation, and infrastructure
