The team you will be a part of
The Engineering team discovers, develops and evaluates new product ideas, enhancements, or strategic product extensions, and translates research discoveries into usable and marketable products. Leads, plans and tracks all phases of the product life cycle, from inception to introduction into the marketplace. Coordinates with various functions to ensure successful product development and implementation.
This role in summary
As a Competitive Intelligence Associate, you will gather, analyze, and interpret market data and competitive information to inform strategic decisions. You will work closely with various departments including marketing, sales, and product development to provide actionable insights and recommendations.
Your responsibilities will include
Conduct comprehensive research on competitors, market trends, IP and industry developments
Analyze competitors strategies, strengths, weaknesses, and market positions.
Monitor and report on industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes.
Collect and analyse data to provide critical insights to category
Coordinate strategic and tactical competitive units to be torn-down using the Competitive Cost Analysis team
Support competitive deep dives with cross functional teams before and after project chartering
Stay up-to-date with best practices in competitive intelligence and market analysis. Continuously refine methodologies and tools for enhanced data accuracy and relevance.
Minimum requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Consumer Research, Engineering, Product Design, or Marketing
Minimum of 3 years experience in Consumer Research, Engineering, Product Design, or Marketing
Experience with working in cross-functional teams
Experience in translating consumer research into Voice of Engineering
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and trends.
Basic in using competitive intelligence tools and software (e.g., Web Scrapping, Gartner, Forrester, or similar).
Preferred skills and experiences
Experience in consumer electronics or major home appliances
Experience in web scraping, data analytics
Strong communication, persuasion, and influencing skills
Good at the art of storytelling both verbally and through visuals
Excellent organizational, verbal / written communication, and influencing skills
Attention to detail and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Good communication skills with the ability to present insights clearly and effectively to diverse audiences.
