To accomplish our goal, we are looking for a Senior Engineer, Asset Provisioning to ensure that satellite configuration is optimized to maintain an operational environment which supports the designated role and beam strategy. Someone who will recommend and implement changes that ensure that service performance meets customers expectations and support and implement capacity grooming plans, transitions and various other projects.
What You Will Do
- Coordinate with the Asset Management Planning team to optimize and maintain the operating environment to derive the highest performance for our assets.
- Coordinate the configuration of spacecraft payload to support commercial opportunities and support an optimal noise environment.
- Command assets to configure transponders as required by commercial opportunities.
- Analyze, approve, and issue transmission plan updates for customer leases.
- Maintain accuracy of service loading in the inventory system at the link level.
- Asses customer performance as stated in transmission plans.
- Support the implementation of tactical and strategic grooming projects which optimize utilization of satellite capacity.
- Support the Network Operations Center to resolve interference events which impact customer services or impair inventory for sale which includes on-call duties on a periodic basis.
Your Required Experience/skills
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical, Communications Engineering, Physics, Math or equivalent.
- At least 3-years of relevant experience in satellite telecommunications, to include experience in satellite payload and earth station performance.
- Experience running link budget analysis and tools.
- Computer literacy with MS Office, Excel and PowerPoint
- Demonstrated aptitude to quickly learn proprietary systems and software programs.
- This is an On-Call position
- Ability and willingness to work occasional extended hours based on department activity.
