Senior Embedded Software Engineer

About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Embedded Software Engineer to join our dynamic team. You will play a pivotal role in developing high-performance embedded software for industrial and medical applications. Your focus will be on Ethernet networking, precision time protocol (PTP), and integrating software with FPGA and processor designs.

What You'll Do

Create software requirements/specifications from system requirements.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, implement, and validate software requirements.

Develop and reuse Ethernet network designs with time-stamping requirements (1Gbps).

Apply expertise in NIOS II and MicroBlaze soft processors to design, implement, and maintain embedded software.

Mentor junior engineers and drive knowledge-sharing initiatives.

Troubleshoot and debug software issues using tools like oscilloscopes and power supplies.

Ensure software quality through unit testing, code reviews, and adherence to functional safety standards (e.g., DO178, ISO26262).

Your Profile

Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field.

10+ years of experience in embedded software development with a focus on C/C++ and real-time operating systems.

Proven experience with Ethernet networking and PTP (Precision Time Protocol).

Hands-on expertise with NIOS II and MicroBlaze processors, as well as ARM microcontrollers.

Familiarity with functional safety standards (e.g., DO178 or ISO26262).

Strong problem-solving skills and ability to document and resolve software issues efficiently.

Fluency in English is mandatory; French is a plus.
