Requirements:
Education:
BSEE, BSCE or BSCS
Responsibilities:
Member of development teams for products which include embedded software elements.
Provide functional safety representation in each team: Define safety requirements, define/verify safety architecture, contribute to risk analysis, perform safety analysis, perform formal reviews of safety documents, manage change throughout the product life-cycle.
Work collaboratively with marketing, systems engineering, product engineering and customers to define functional safety requirements and support customers directly in technical reviews and audits throughout the product live-cycle.
Provide leadership for functional safety in multiple development teams simultaneously
Provide support in development and refinement of the software development process
Be flexible in work schedule to support development teams in several global locations including North America, South America, Europe and Asia
Experience:
- 3-5 years of experience developing or supporting development of embedded software using C/C++ for ARM microcontroller architecture
- 3-5 years of experience developing or supporting development of an element requiring integration of hardware and software (HSI)
- 3-5 years of experience defining software safety requirements, performing safety analysis and oversight of verification/validation of software and hardware integration per the requirements of ISO26262:2018-6 and/or ASPICE.
Beneficial:
- Certification as functional safety Engineer (CFSE)
- Experience with semiconductor IC development (power and/or sensors)
- Experience with RISC-V microcontroller architectur
