Senior Electrical Engineer

Experience: Minimum 10 years in government works (Preferably CPWD, NBCC, etc. of high rise buildings.

Min Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Planning, Execution and Billing of the project involves installations, commissioning and testing of electrical equipment like Motor control system, power control system, Transformer, HT panels, APFC Panel, AC motor , MLDB, PRP, PDB, etc.

Coordination with other associated engineering disciplines for smooth and efficient implementation of the project, engineering consultant for timely delivery of electrical drawings for proper sequence of project activities, procurement follow ups and operation to ensure completion of the project on time.

Handling/supervising of contractors, Evaluating and discussing with the team for work schedules, monitoring the progress, supervision of works. Preparing daily/weekly progress reports.

Identification of quality issues, raising quality surveillance and getting it closed effectively, Verification of running amount bills and final bills of contractors and report the concern/issues to project head.

Planning, scheduling & monitoring activities for timely completion of projects within time, quality, cost & budget parameters.

Responsible for Pre-Startup safety review, Management of change, Incident reporting & investigation etc.

Prepared All types of documents related to job (Daily Report, Material Inventory Status, BOM, BOQ), giving instructions for usage of safety equipment During job execution to prevent accidents. Conduct tool box talk before new work starts. Instruct Usage of PPEs.,

Actively manages projects from the field, addressing issues that arise during construction and providing resolution at site.

Involved in the technical and Management supervision along with site execution and highly driven in various Commercial and Residential projects.

All the electrical medium and low voltage installation works which were being carried out as per BOQ specifications and material as per Indian national standard codes.

Evaluate engineering proposals, shop drawing and design comments for sound electrical engineering practice and conformance with established safety and design criteria and recommend for approval or disapproval.

Planning and execution on the electrical side for MEP projects closely monitoring the construction activities, attending weekly meetings at site with other engineers and contractors-maintained weekly status reports.

Review and approval of drawings and material submittals submitted by the contractor.

Installation of all electrical works were carried out as per approved drawings ensuring compliance with safety requirements and as per standards.

Coordinate with, Mechanical, Civil, Architect Engineers, Discuss technical aspects of electrical system with contractor towards successful completion of projects.

Installation of HVAC, Electrical Installation (Internal + External)-Addressable Fire Alarm System, Fire Fighting System (Wet riser + Ring Main + Down Comer), Internal & External Decorative Light Fixtures, Networking system, LT/HT Panels, DG sets, Chiller Plants, Cable routing, Cable trays for tunnel, Lightening Protection System, BMS, Baggage Scanner, Boom Barrier, Access Control System, PA System and switchgears etc.

Following higher management time schedule instructions and advices, reporting work field condition problem & status to higher management, following activities of other departments in site.

Coordinate with contractor for the fast progress work on site implementation of advanced system and material available in market as per requirement and conduct weekly site inspection & prepare monthly progress report.

Conduct inspections for Quality Assurance & Quality Control Program, reporting, finding and recommendations.

Prepare bills according to CPWD specs and norms and perform same for the sub-contractors.

Prepeare Rate ananlysis for non schedule items

Report to Project Engineer.

Providing guidance to prepare Lighting Layouts, Power layouts, Load schedule, Single line diagram and the related engineering calculation like panel board circuits, main distribution board circuit and breaker size selection etc.

Calculate the electrical load calculation, Breaker selection, cable sizing calculation and earthling calculation, voltage drop calculation, lighting and illumination design for Commercial + Residential Projects.

Preparation of single Line Diagram layouts, specification for electrical equipment such as, Circuit Breakers (MCB, MCCB), capacitor bank, Voltage drop calculation, Distribution Board etc.

Preparation of bill materials and cost Estimates of Electrical wiring installation, repair and maintenance of reports for Residential and Commercial Buildings.

Taking care of QA/QC documents of the entire projects including certificates, calibration, test results, inspection requests, on compliance reports.

Responsible for the quality and workmanship of every activity, through knowledge of all phases of engineering construction related to electrical, Architectural operations.

Conduct illumination survey regularly at site and attend corrective measures for the improvement.
