About the Role
We are scaling up our operations rapidly, and the Senior Editor or Managing Editor will play a key role in ensuring high quality standards and an excellent experience for our enterprise clients.
In this role, you will take complete ownership of the quality of deliverables for our enterprise customers, develop growth-focused strategies, and facilitate clear communication between clients, writers, and editors.
We are looking for a candidate with extensive experience in writing, copy editing, and reviewing marketing content for B2B or enterprise businesses, preferably someone who has worked with US-based software companies or major SaaS brands.
Responsibilities:
- Quality assurance: Maintaining a high standard of quality for all deliverables for enterprise and SaaS clients. Identifying lapses in quality and proactively improving overall content quality through scalable quality frameworks
- Reviewing: Reviewing and copy editing content pieces to ensure factual accuracy, depth of research, domain expertise, and quality of language before project delivery.
- Communication: Ensuring client requirements are communicated effectively to content writers and editors. Responding to and resolving queries that come from editors and writers
- Feedback and evaluation: Conducting performance assessments for writers and editors regularly and providing feedback to writers and editors to satisfy evolving quality expectations
- Briefing and Preparation: Collaborating with the content management team to create briefing materials, such as concept notes, writing guidelines, and instruction videos
- Client management: Engaging periodically with clients and agencies to set quality expectations, understand requirements, and provide insights to the project teams
- Project management: Creating execution strategies for content projects, handling content writers and editors in collaboration with project managers, and collaborating with the Operations team to create allocation strategies and manage deadlines
- Team building and mentoring: Managing a diverse group of writers and editors and building a strong team of experts as the business grows
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years experience in editorial or content marketing roles, specifically in the B2B technology or SaaS industry
- Strong knowledge of enterprise technology/SaaS solutions and software services
- Strong editing and proofreading skills, with advanced knowledge of applied grammar and US English
- Experience managing teams of content writers and editors and handling queries
- A deep understanding of content marketing and SEO, preferably
- Experience working within a dynamic, outcome-driven work environment and managing multiple projects at the same time
- Excellent deadline-management skills and the ability to balance quality standards and delivery timelines
