Role Overview
A successful
Investment Management Lead is one who can create and implement a strong partnership with the Marketing Organization and other Functions to manage resource allocations and Strategic Investments across the OU to drive growth and profitability.
As a senior member of the OU Finance team, reporting directly to the OU CFO, this role builds on strong influence and communication skills coupled with strategic, data-driven thinking to drive key metrics on growth and profitability. The role entails managing a team of associates directly.
Focus, Scope and Impact
Business Partnership: Partner with the OU senior leaders to manage and execute the resource allocation strategy, including:
- Implement the Global resource allocation strategy in the OU
- Develop and implement along with Management and Strategy the local resource allocation strategy
- Analyze/Benchmark/rationalize the strategy based on local considerations
- Act as primary contact of Marketing
- Assess all on-going projects and prioritize them based on current allocation guidelines
- Assess, develop and monitor a clear marketing asset strategy with the Center and other functions
Manage
Strategic Investment Finance and support innovation within the OU, including:
- Partnership with Strategy on Profit pools, Portfolio strategy, Execute the center guidance
- Implement category model framework/playbooks, review category financials and align action to improve category margins
- Develop and drive marketing efficiency and effectiveness in collaboration with marketing team
- Execution day to day including outside the BP to identify opportunities to create more value through consumer insights
- Review and assess market opportunities support new product ideas
Support
New Product Development(NPD) and Commercialization lifecycle
- Develop financial Business case and align internal stakeholders for closure
- Establish a metrics linked NPD PLR (post launch review) review mechanism
- Establish a clear zombie mechanism and work with stakeholders to clean the NPD pipeline
- Work and align with Global Finance on submission routines.
Other work priorities
- Provide holistic understanding of business performance inside the OU, including innovation support.
Use a fact-based, analytic, strategic approach to collaborating across OU
Minimum Qualifications And Requirements
- 12 years of leadership experience in senior commercial finance roles
- Extensive management experience, with ability to work in a diverse cultural environment as a highly efficient communicator and influencer at all levels
- Role model the Leadership in the Network definition
- Ability to lead teams/prior people leadership experience and collaborating cross-functionally on enterprise priorities
- Broad expertise in Risk management, Agile ways of working, enterprise-wide / transformational initiatives, portfolio strategy and flexibility
