The Role
We're in looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer eager to learn and contribute to setting up infrastructure and pipelines to support developers. Your tech know-how should cover areas like Microsoft Azure DevOps or TFS, GitHub, Artifactory, Jenkins, and Terraform. Good communication is key, as you'll be regularly interacting with a variety of stakeholders. If you're passionate about diving into the world of DevOps, we'd love to have you on board.
Key Responsibilities
- Configuration and administration of 3rd party tools
- Assisting internal customers with application build and deployment issues and best practices
- Consolidating multiple environments into a single instance
- Manage and automate the methods of the deployment and the processes required to execute
- Champion changes to tools and processes to improve the efficiency of SS&C engineering
- Establishing and communicating best practices for a large engineering organization
- Advise and mentor other software engineers on new technologies and tools
Ideal Profile
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience managing code repository systems (Microsoft Azure DevOps or TFS, GitHub, Artifactory, Jenkins, SonarQube)
- 3+ years of development experience (Go, Python, Java, Ruby, PowerShell, shell scripting, or other languages)
- 3+ years of experience with configuration management (SaltStack, Ansible, or Chef)
- Proficient in software build and test tools (i.e., Maven, Ant, Gradle, Make, MS build, etc.)
- Team player & ability to work across organizations to co-ordinate releases, deployments, and troubleshooting.
- Experience with Windows/.NET development environments and automation practices
- Strong understanding of application authentication and security (i.e., SSO, Certificate management, JWT, etc.)
- Production experience with a container platform (i.e., Kubernetes, Mesos, Nomad)
- Experience managing services at a large scale (i.e., hundreds of thousands of nodes)
