Kitron is currently looking for a Senior Design Engineer, based in Chennai, India, where TCBB India (a part of the Kitron Group) operates.
Job Description:
- Develop and formulate conceptual models for new projects or enhancements in production processes.
- Develop and produce 3D models using SolidWorks and engineering layouts and schematics using AutoCAD
- Possess proficiency in performing engineering calculations
- Produce detailed drawings and specifications for parts and assemblies
- Sound knowledge of standard production selections like pneumatic cylinders, motors, actuators, ball screws, LM shafts, guides, and bushes
- Sound knowledge on material selection of metals and non-metals, machining, fabrication processes, sheet metal, and post-processing operations
- Proficient in different manufacturing methodologies
- Proficient in managing Bill of Materials (BOM), handling revisions, and adhering to ISO documentation standards Hands-on experience in building the assemblies and troubleshooting the issues with form, fit, and function Thorough knowledge of GD&T is a must, and understanding tolerance stack-up analysis will be an added advantage
- Collaborate with other members of the project development team to ensure that designs are manufacturable, cost-effective, and meet customer requirements
- Proficient in using ISO and ASME standards Knowledge of DIN standards will be an added advantage
- Proficient in design reviews and implementing necessary modifications to designs while adhering to engineering documentation standards.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical, Mechatronics, or equivalent
- Having 3-5 years of experience in the field of SPM (Special Purpose Machine) design, with a background in designing for machines in the electronics industry, will be an added advantage
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Capable of meeting deadlines and maintaining high-quality standards
- Good Presentation and Negotiation Skills
- Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal
