We need of Senior DB2 Database Administrator (DBA 6+ years of Experience)For Bangalore Locations (US SHIFT timings) Only immediate to 2 weeks Notice period candidates

Role Summary

The Senior DB2 LUW DBA will be responsible for the implementation, configuration, maintenance, performance, production and development support of critical DB2 LUW RDBMS systems, to ensure the availability and consistent performance of our corporate applications. This is a hands-on position requiring solid technical skills, as well as excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the deployment and sustainment of all elements of DB2 LUW 11.1, ensuring its operational readiness (security, health and performance), executing data loads, and support of multiple development teams. The databases maintained support an enterprise suite of application and management tools. Must be capable of working independently and collaboratively.

Skills, Knowledge & Experience

The successful candidate will demonstrate the following experience, skills and behaviours:

6+ years DB2 LUW Administration experience required

Experience with Performance Tuning and Optimization (PTO), using native monitoring and troubleshooting tools

Experience with backups, restores and recovery models

Strong knowledge of Clustering, High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) options for DB2 LUW

Strong knowledge of Data Encryption (at rest and in transit) for DB2 LUW

Strong knowledge of DB2 SQL and Sourced Stored Procedures

Knowledge of Toad for DB2 and IBM Client tools

Strong knowledge of Linux and DB2 User Access Security, Groups and Roles

Experience with Database Design

Experience with MS Powershell, Bash, VB Script etc.

Excellent written and verbal communication
