This is a key role, within our Data Stewardship team, working out of our global office in Bangalore.
As a Senior Data Steward, you will support data governance and data quality initiatives within one of our key business functions, with an initial focus on our critical customer, contact, and product master data domains. You will collaborate with data consumers, data creators, and the central Data & Model Governance team to diagnose root causes and drive measurable data improvements.
This may include a mixture of preventative and reactive data remediation activities.
You will be a key player and pioneer in the adoption and development of data stewardship operations within the business function you support.
About the Role
In this opportunity as Senior Data Steward you will:
Work with the Data Governance team to:
Implement data controls
drive compliance with data standards
Work with cross-functional data stewards to:
maintain data catalog information
monitor and manage data health within your portfolio
Investigate data issues to identify root causes
Identify and implement preventative data remediations
Review data exception reports and implement corrections, as required
Participate in system and process improvement projects, to support data quality by design
Participate in the Thomson Reuters Data & Model Steward Network
About You
You're a fit for the role of Senior Data Steward if you meet all or most of these criteria:
Bachelor's degree required, with overall 9+ years of experience.
7+ years experience in Digital, Data, Analysis, and /or Technology roles
Practical experience working within a data ethics/governance framework
Process analysis skills, with the ability to translate business issues and requirements into actionable plans
Thorough understanding of data and systems infrastructures
Thorough understanding of data quality management
Technical skills in exploring, analyzing, profiling, and manipulating data sets (e.g. SQL, Python, Alteryx)
