Job Description

The Customer Data Team drives practices and standards related to customer data, ensuring data controls are in play across our business processes and system landscapes. When data change is initiated within the business, the Customer Data Team brings valuable experience, knowledge and techniques while driving the change, ensuring all date sets are transformed and or stored within our defined data governance rules and processes. The Customer Data Team has responsibility for planning, execution, monitoring and control and finalization of all data management activities. The Customer Data Analyst role will actively pursue improvements and consistency to our data structures ensuring data change proposals are fit for purpose, drives decision making are aligned to our company data standards. The Customer Data Analyst will work with various business Counterparts to drive data alignment, driving data consistency and accuracy ensuring improved process to the user and customer working towards a single view of our customers, allowing for sales growth and consistent data reporting and analytics.

Vision & Strategy

  • Proactively drives standard methodology related to data while looking at automation opportunities which offer business benefit
  • Manages and co-ordinates data disciplines to ensure data accuracy and consistency, while driving automation opportunities and processes

Key Responsibilities

  • Manages large scale data sets, drives reporting standards and outputs ensuring data rules are known and understood across the transactional master data universe
  • Setup meaningful data quality metrics and reporting capabilities.
  • Proactively monitor data quality levels.
  • Advise on data harmonization and data standardization efforts.
  • Manages the project intake process, assessing project size, scope, duration and resource demands.
  • Manages the automation project roadmap and pipeline.
  • Responsible for working with limited supervision
  • Acts as the domain expert on data reporting and analytics across the master data team across all data elements
  • Takes ownership of automation and leading initiatives
  • Leads and delivers new initiatives from inception to delivery across master data and rights management
  • Plays a key role in mentoring, training and directing junior team members in terms of automation principles and works
  • Partners with functional peers, such as process owners, reporting and technology teams, on required support, training and continuous improvement opportunities.
  • Communicates project status, risks, issues and achievements across all business.
  • Have domain skills to understand the Customer and Product master data
  • Customer Management across master data & rights management
  • Project management of data reporting projects liaising with meta data teams

Required Skillsets and expertise:

  • 3 + years of experience in data management
  • Experience of working in an agile environment
  • Over 3 years of experience in Oracle SQL
  • Ability to demonstrate strong project analysis and management skills, able to manage across teams
  • Strong analytical, organization and prioritization skills, able to demonstrate cross data and system knowledge
  • Has deep technical skills specifically in Python, data visualization using Tableau and Power Bi, Solid relational database skills preferably in snowflake, data quality tools and Alteryx
  • Good understanding of platforms such as salesforce and Siebel
  • Good understanding of concepts such as data quality, data lineage and MDM
  • Ability to apply operational and technological efficiencies to Products master, Customer master and processes and to manage these through the development lifecycle and into production.
  • Proven documentation and communication skills including presentation, negotiation and facility
  • Demonstrates good communication skills and is a good collaborator
  • Able to work in an ever-changing environment, demonstrating an eagerness to learn and deliver
  • Demonstrable ability to work in multi-functional teams without formal authority.
  • Understanding of Customer Master data and governance is an added advantage
  • DBM will be an added advantage
