Position Name : Senior Data Scientist - Statistical Analysis
Purpose of the Position: As an Senior Data Scientist - Statistical Analysis, you will be responsible to develop effective and high-quality analytics solutions that meet business requirements. Use deep knowledge of statistics and Maths, coupled with strong domain understanding to pre-build business solutions that addresses specific business challenges. Also own the technical consultation for existing/new clients during any phase of the program and help with proposals / pre-sales activities.
Key Result Areas and Activities:
- Systematically Develop and Maintain Offerings Provide stewardship guidance to create advanced analytics solutions, that can be a core differentiator for Infocepts. Create the offering and support in its pilot implementation. Support to develop implementation methodologies, processes, templates, enhance and internalize for the prioritized solutions.
- Thought Leadership Build and share experience and evidence-based thought leadership in the industry through various channels such as professional social media, blogs, white papers, webinars, events, and conferences.
- Provide Sales Support Support pre-sales activities including engaging prospects, conducting discovery workshops, developing point of views/solutions/scoping, writing proposals, engaging partners, and supporting sales and marketing enablement with their functional and domain expertise.
- Consulting for New and Existing Clients Provide specialized advisory & consulting services to new and existing customers, share relevant advisories for customers, address unmet needs, expand relationships, manage client expectations, and maintain assigned utilization.
- Support Organizational Strategy Contribute to practice development including sharing and building expertise, nurturing and growing talent, capability and offering development, and corporate initiatives as assigned.
- Support Project delivery - Support in delivering the Advanced Analytics project outcomes by collaborating with Data Scientists. Engage actively in Data Discovery, Data cleansing, Data Analysis, Feature Selection, and in building ML models for prediction systems.
Essential Skills:
- Strong proficiency in statistical methods, hypothesis testing and data interpretation
- Expertise in data wrangling, cleaning, and preprocessing using tools like SQL, Python, or R to ensure high-quality input data for analysis.
- Strong understanding of machine learning algorithms, model building, validation, and deployment to create predictive models and derive actionable insights
- Understand business processes and translate business requirements into analytical solutions that drive decision-making in an industry such as Retail, Healthcare, Media, or Banking / Finance
- Experience in consulting and developing business-oriented advanced analytics solutions
- Pre-Sales experience in anchoring and authoring proposal responses for Advanced Analytics capabilities
- Experienced in building internal capabilities and expertise to address unmet customer needs
Desirable Skills:
- Experience with Data Visualization Tools - Ability to create compelling visualizations using leading reporting tools like Tableau, Power BI to communicate findings effectively to stakeholders
- Knowledge of big data platforms and tools like Hadoop, Spark, or Kafka to handle and analyze large-scale datasets
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud for deploying and managing analytics solutions
Qualifications:
- BE in computer science engineering or Masters in mathematics or Statistics and equivalent experiance in the field of Data Science.
- Demonstrated continued learning through one or more technical certifications or related methods.
- 15 years of IT experience with minimum 7 years of experience in building Advanced Analytics applications.
