Key Result Areas and Activities:
- Technical Expertise:Develops and optimizes ETL processes using Snowflake, maintaining advanced data models and ETL workflows with DBT to ensure efficient data transformation and integration within the data warehouse.
- Collaboration:Collaborates with data analysts, engineers, and stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions, while facilitating clear communication and collaboration across teams.
- Quality Assurance:Implements and oversees data quality checks and testing procedures, ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and compliance with governance policies.
- Documentation and Reporting:Creates and maintains detailed documentation for ETL processes and project workflows, while providing regular updates and reports on project progress and performance metrics.
- Compliance and Security:Ensures all data engineering activities comply with data governance and security policies, implementing measures to protect data integrity and confidentiality.
Must Have:
- Strong SQL skills, including CTE, with experience in database optimization and tuning.
- Proficient in developing and optimizing ETL processes using Snowflake.
- Expertise in DBT (Data Build Tool) for data transformation and pipeline management.
- Knowledge of fundamental data modeling concepts (3NF, Star, Snowflake schemas).
- Familiar with development best practices, peer reviews, and unit testing.
- Experience in data analysis, data profiling, and writing efficient queries for large datasets.
Good To Have:
- Preferred to have prior Pharmaceutical / Life Sciences domain experience
Qualifications:
- Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
- 7+ Yrs of Overall experience in IT.
