We're looking for a Senior Data Engineer to join Procore's Product & Technology Team. Procore software solutions aim to improve the lives of everyone in construction and the people within Product & Technology are the driving force behind our innovative, top-rated global platform. As a Senior Data Engineer with analytics and modeling experience, you will play a crucial role in designing, building, and maintaining data pipelines and infrastructure. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop data-driven solutions, perform advanced analytics, and build predictive models to support strategic decision-making.This position will report to the Engineering Manager for the Resource Management group with the opportunity to be located in Bangalore. We're looking for someone to join our team immediately.
Design, develop, and maintain scalable and efficient data pipelines and ETL processes to handle large volumes of data.
Build and optimize data models and structures to support analytical and reporting needs.
Perform data analysis and apply statistical techniques to identify trends, patterns, and insights.
Develop predictive models and machine learning algorithms to solve business problems and drive growth.
Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and other stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver actionable insights.
Ensure data quality, accuracy, and security throughout the data lifecycle.
Troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues and performance bottlenecks.
Document processes, data definitions, and data flows to ensure clarity and consistency.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field or equivalent experience.
5+ years of experience as a Data Engineer with a strong background in analytics and data modeling.
Proficiency in SQL and experience with relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL).
Experience with big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark) and data warehousing solutions (e.g., Redshift, BigQuery).
Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, or Scala.
Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) and reporting frameworks.
Strong understanding of statistical analysis and machine learning algorithms.
Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and data engineering tools (e.g., Apache Airflow, dbt).
