About the role:
We're looking for an experienced and skilled Senior Data Engineer to lead our data engineering initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cloud data warehouses, API integrations, and data architecture. This role requires a mix of technical expertise, leadership skills, and the ability to mentor junior team members.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of our data infrastructure, including cloud data warehouses and data pipelines
- Develop and integrate APIs to connect multiple platforms and data sources
- Create and execute high-level architecture plans for our BI tools and backend data stack
- Engage in project scoping and provide technical leadership throughout the project lifecycle
- Mentor and lead junior team members, fostering their growth and development
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and deliver efficient solutions
- Ensure data quality, security, and compliance with industry standards and regulations
- Stay up to date with the latest trends and technologies in data engineering and cloud computing
Requirements
Required Qualifications
- 5-10 years of experience in data engineering or related field
- Strong expertise in cloud data warehouses (e.g., Snowflake, AWS Redshift, Azure Synapse, Google BigQuery)
- Proficiency in working with APIs and integrating multiple platforms
- Experience in designing and implementing data architectures and ETL processes
- Solid programming skills in languages such as Python, SQL, and Scala
- Familiarity with BI tools and data visualization platforms
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Proven ability to scope, design, and execute complex data projects
- Experience mentoring junior team members
Good to have
- Knowledge of or experience with the Salesforce ecosystem
- Background in data science or machine learning
- Familiarity with agile development methodologies
- Experience with real-time data processing and streaming technologies
- Certifications in relevant cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) or data technologies
