Job Description
Job Brief:
We are seeking a Senior Data Architect with a strong focus on Azure Data Services and extensive experience in the full data lifecycle management on Azure, AWS and GCP. The candidate should have at least 12 years of experience in data architecture, with expertise in Data Engineering, ETL/ELT, Data Warehousing, Lakehouse architecture, Business Intelligence, and Visualization, as well as a deep understanding of Data Mesh and Microsoft Fabric.
Responsibilities:
- Data Acquisition and Ingestion: Define and execute data acquisition strategies, leveraging Azure Data Services for ingestion, and ensuring compatibility with AWS and GCP.
- ETL/ELT Pipeline Development: Design and implement ETL/ELT pipelines to facilitate efficient data processing and transformation.
- Data Engineering and Warehousing: Develop data models and architectures that support operational and analytical use cases, utilizing Azure Data Lake, Azure Synapse Analytics, and other Azure data services.
- Lakehouse Architecture Implementation: Construct and manage Lakehouse solutions, combining the benefits of data lakes and data warehouses to support a wide range of analytics and AI/ML workloads.
- Data Mesh and Microsoft Fabric: Implement Data Mesh architectures using Microsoft Fabric to enable decentralized data management and governance, ensuring data is organized and governed within specific business domains.
- Business Intelligence and Visualization: Oversee the development of BI solutions and visualization tools, making data actionable and accessible for decision-making.
- Master Data Management (MDM) and Data Governance: Ensure data quality, security, and compliance by implementing MDM and Data Governance frameworks.
- AI/ML and Generative AI Integration: Integrate AI/ML and Generative AI technologies to enhance data analytics and predictive capabilities.
- Solutioning and Proposal Response: Lead solutioning efforts for complex data challenges and respond to proposals, showcasing the technical and strategic value of our data solutions.
- Tools and Utilities Development: Contribute to the creation and enhancement of Data and AI practice tools, accelerators, and utilities to improve efficiency and innovation.
- Mentorship and Leadership: Guide and mentor junior architects and engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and excellence in data management.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 12 years of professional experience in data architecture, with a focus on Azure and familiarity with AWS and GCP.
- Expertise in the full data lifecycle, including ETL/ELT, data engineering, data warehousing, Lakehouse architecture, and Data Mesh with Microsoft Fabric.
- Proven ability in BI, visualization, and integrating AI/ML and Generative AI into data solutions.
- Strong knowledge of MDM, data governance, and compliance with industry standards.
- Azure certifications and any relevant AI/ML and Generative AI certifications are highly desirable.
- Outstanding leadership and communication skills, capable of driving strategic data initiatives and fostering cross-departmental collaboration.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; or equivalent professional experience.
