The Senior Data Analyst provides subject matter expertise, insight and strategic direction in the area of data collection and analysis in support of client or firm projects. Shares technical expertise to ensure quality and accuracy of data. Utilizing advance analysis and modeling techniques, identifies insights to inform client deliverables and solutions. Creates reports and presentations to inform projects.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Collaborates with team members to collect and analyze data in support of client projects.
- Participates in client facing engagements regarding data collection processes.
- Utilizes advanced analysis and modeling techniques, identifies insights to inform client deliverables and solutions.
- Creates presentations and reports in multiple formats for internal and/or external clients based on analysis, recommendations and findings. Uses graphs, infographics and other methods to visualize data.
- Recommends qualitative data collection to supplement findings from quantitative data analysis.
- Structures large data sets to find usable information. Conducts benchmarking with existing internal and external data sets and scales.
- Establishes KPIs to measure the effectiveness of business decisions.
- Stays abreast of best practices for data reporting.
- Supports work of other consultants by sharing functional expertise
- Develop and deliver public speaking opportunities in specific subject matter expertise which aligns with HR's marketing and business development strategies including client roundtables and firm-sponsored events and webinars
- Works with Managing Director and Senior Consultants to identify opportunities for improvement with data collection and reporting.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
- Bachelor's degree with ten plus years of experience analyzing quantitative data sets and qualitative data themes
- Experience creating custom items and surveys, analysing and presenting qualitative data
- Experience analyzing data and recommending next steps within the research process for mixed method assessments
- Experience with data visualization with the ability to discern alignment with data structure and the optimal visualization options
- Experience with item and scale quality assessment using methods such as multiple regression and factor analysis
- Experience analyzing data with R or similar visualization/analyzing platform
- Experience with data and report accessibility
- Ability to create literature review and cross-reference survey mode
- Proven, disciplined project management skills with the ability to effectively manage multiple and changing priorities simultaneously
- Demonstrated innovation and ability to think creatively to solve problems
- Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills including ability to communicate orally, write effectively, and present effectively and concisely to a wide variety of audiences including senior leadership, staff, Boards of directors and potential client organizations
