Job Overview
We are looking for a Senior Curriculum Engineer to lead the development and enhancement of our SDET program. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge and hands-on experience with the technologies and tools listed below and a passion for crafting educational content that prepares students for successful careers in software testing and automation.
What You'll Do
Curriculum Development and Enhancement:
- Design, develop, and update curriculum content covering topics such as Automation Testing, Cypress, Selenium WebDriver, Appium, Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC), Agile methodologies, TestNG, BDD with Cucumber, CI/CD with Jenkins, and more.
- Create detailed lesson plans, presentations, hands-on exercises, and project assignments.
- Ensure the curriculum stays current with industry trends and technological advancements.
Quality Assurance And Pedagogical Improvement
- Collaborate with instructors to ensure effective curriculum delivery.
- Implement feedback mechanisms to continuously improve course content and teaching methods.
- Develop assessment tools to measure student progress and curriculum effectiveness.
Technical Leadership And Mentorship
- Provide technical guidance and support to instructors and students.
- Stay updated with the latest developments in software testing and automation tools.
- Integrate new technologies and best practices into the curriculum.
Collaboration And Team Leadership
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to align curriculum objectives with organizational goals.
- Lead training sessions and workshops for instructors.
- Participate in curriculum review meetings and contribute to strategic planning.
What You'll Need
Technical Expertise:
- Extensive knowledge and hands-on experience with:
- Automation Testing Tools and Frameworks: Cypress, Selenium WebDriver, Appium.
- Programming Languages: JavaScript, Java, and familiarity with scripting for automation.
- Testing Methodologies: Functional, Non-Functional, Regression, Performance, Security Testing.
- Test Frameworks: TestNG, JUnit, Mocha, Cucumber (BDD with Gherkin syntax).
- CI/CD Tools: Jenkins and its integration with testing frameworks.
- Mobile Application Testing: Automation using Appium for Android/iOS platforms.
- Web Application Testing: Handling web elements, locators, dynamic elements, and advanced web driver concepts.
- Agile Methodologies and Tools: Familiarity with Jira and Zephyr for test management.
Industry Experience
- Minimum of 4-7 years of professional experience in software testing and QA automation.
- Proven track record in designing and implementing automation testing frameworks.
Curriculum Development Skills
- Prior experience in curriculum design and developing educational content for technical subjects.
- Ability to translate complex technical concepts into engaging and understandable learning materials.
Leadership And Communication
- Strong leadership skills with experience managing projects or teams.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to explain complex concepts clearly to a diverse audience.
