Originate and analyze borrowers/obligors for debt investments within the financial inclusion sector.
Build relationships and liaise with borrowers to analyze & monitor financial performance, track covenants as well as the preparation of quarterly and annual financial reports for submission to investors and program partners.
First line of defense in identifying and mitigating credit risk in existing and proposed debt transactions.
Manage the execution process of mandated deals which includes obtaining internal approvals, managing deal documentation and liaising with external transaction parties
Work alongside the team to drive credit analysis of obligors, underwriting of credit exposure and active risk management of the credit obligors.
Some international travel will be required and should be ready to work in a dynamic, flexible and fast-moving environment
Job Requirements
8-10 years of combined experience as a credit analyst/manager in a financial institution or capital markets experience and/or similar experience
Graduate degree, with a business, finance or accounting major preferred.
Strong financial analysis and investment structuring skills
Ability to prepare written memos and reports fluently in English
Ability to present information in an insightful and structured manner, both written and oral
High comfort level working in a relatively flat, non-hierarchical environment
Entrepreneurial nature ability to handle unstructured situations and think innovatively
Able to work independently without much supervision as well as a team player
Preferred
Experience living and working in different cultures, particularly in Asia. Time spent in developing countries is an advantage.
