ROLE: SAP APO DP consultant
Role Description
- The APO DP consultant role is for enabling implementation or Application Support of process and technology solutions related to diagnosis, analysis and transformation of Demand Planning functions in a project. The following are key responsibilities Designing, configuration, Testing, training and documentation in SAP APO DP projects in customer organizations.
- A team player willing to learn and contribute within the Organization on APO DP
- Help with building Assets and Accelerators within SAP APO DP and reduce the overall cost to serve
Qualifications And Experience
- At least 2 years of experience in SAP APO DP module
- Experience in at least 2 APO DP projects i.e. can include Support or rollouts
- Exposure to ECC would be an advantage
PROCESS KNOWLEDGE
- Understanding of basic Supply Chain planning processes
- Understanding of overall Demand planning process
TECHNICAL EXPERTISE
- Good level of expertise in APO DP.
- Ability to design and primarily configure APO DP solution while understanding the integration aspects between different modules within APO as well as of APO with ERP or BW systems
- Ability to work on configuration scenarios along with writing functional specifications for customizations
- Ability to prepare training material to train the client core team
- Experience in writing test scripts for enabling Unit tests, Integration tests and UAT.
- Ability to do basic configuration i.e. create Key figures, planning books, data views, macros, integration with BW etc
- Basic understanding of ECC Master data specifically around Sales Order management SD
Hands On Experience
- Configuring
- Statistical forecasting using causal and time series methods
- Promotional planning
- Lifecycle planning
- Collaborative planning i.e. consensus based
Soft Skills
- Excellent communication skills, verbal as well as written
- Positive attitude with flexibility and maturity to work in a challenging client environment
- Good Team player
