Responsibilities

  • Review of contracts and agreements:
    • Examine contracts and agreements to understand compliance requirements and ensure the organization meets them.
    • Verify the terms, conditions and deliverables outlined in contracts are being fulfilled.
  • Evaluate the organization s adherence to relevant regulatory requirements, such as industry standards, government regulations or international laws.
  • Identify and assess any gaps in compliance with these regulations.
  • Stay updated with changes in regulations and ensure the organization is aware and implementing necessary changes.
  • Identify risks associated with non-compliance with contractual and regulatory requirements.
  • Assess the organization s internal controls to manage compliance risks and recommend improvements where necessary.
  • Ensure proper documentation is maintained for all contracts and regulatory obligations.
  • Review records for accuracy, completeness, and adherence to contractual terms.
  • Ensure the organization s internal policies and procedures align with contractual obligations and regulatory requirements.
  • Recommend updates to policies to improve compliance.
  • Plan and execute audits to assess the organization s compliance with both contractual and regulatory obligations.
  • Conduct interviews and review operations to ensure they meet compliance standards.
  • Prepare detailed audit reports that highlight areas of non-compliance, risks, and corrective actions.
  • Present findings to senior management, legal teams, and other relevant stakeholders.
  • Follow-Up and Corrective Actions:
    • Work with relevant departments to ensure corrective actions are taken to address non-compliance issues.
    • Conduct follow-up audits to ensure issues have been resolved.
  • Provide guidance and training to staff on regulatory and contractual compliance to ensure awareness across the organization.
  • Develop compliance training programs based on audit findings and regulatory changes
  • Act as a point of contact for external regulators or contractual auditors.
  • Ensure timely submission of compliance reports and other required documentation to regulatory bodies or clients.
  • Leveraging Lean Six Sigma Concepts and Methodologies to drive organizational improvement.
  • Leading compliance management through automation and other innovative solutions.
  • Providing analysis, insights, and recommendations around compliance issues or challenges.
  • Communication of Compliance/Governance strategy, direction, updates, progress, issues, risks.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in law, accounting, finance, business administration, etc. (Legal background preferred).
  • Minimum 10 years of relevant experience (Compliance Officer/Manager, Quality Assurance, etc.).
  • Experience with internal or client audits focusing on contractual and regulatory requirements.
  • Experience implementing governance programs, audit methodology, and annual audit plans.
  • Strong knowledge of industry processes, standards, and regulations.
  • Risk assessment, control, and change management experience.
  • Familiarity with regulatory agencies like GDPR, HIPAA, SOX, OSHA, etc.
  • Analytical mindset with excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Proficient in various productivity applications (Visio, Project, Excel, Power BI, PowerPoint).
  • Global leadership experience (optional).
  • Familiarity with relevant certifications (CIA, CFE) and industry standards (ISO, ISMS) (optional).
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage deadlines.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite (Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Word), BPM, BI, SharePoint (optional).
