Purpose of the role :
To take care of category purchase to execute a high throughput of NPD and localization of products . With the expertise in negotiations and supplier management, this position will enable business units to buy the products at the best possible price, quality and within targets set by business.
What will you do
- Lead the procurement activities within and outside NPD process for inhouse manufacturing and third-party manufacturing.
- Defines procurement strategies based on business requirements for the relevant assigned category portfolio
- Ensure 100 % success in all NPD projects and NPD gate objectives
- Responsible to drive input cost of NPD and localization projects with relevant stakeholders
- Maintain and ensure data integrity with cost matrix & SPP linked to NPD and localization projects
- Raise and support business case in relation to capex and localization projects
- Ensure right supplier base is in place meeting the needs of the business
- By initiating sourcing if needed, in accordance with company qualification processes and Regional Procurement Head
- By driving performance review of current supplier base
- By ensuring local supplier relationship management according to global direct procurement principles to improve assurance of supply , capacity planning , quality , service , cost , innovation and sustainability
- Long term planning using strategies set by business
- Drives Initiate or assist Regional Procurement in strategic cost management ( lean / continuous improvement programs / cost matrix ) for the relevant commodity in the local supplier base
- Proactively ensures long term capacities and capabilities

Your Background and Qualification :
- Bachelorâs degree in engineering or business (or equivalent degree)
- He / She should be fluent in English and have experience working in an international / multi-cultural environment .
- At least 5-7 yearsâ work experience within purchasing .
- He/she should have work experience of FMCG Industries .
- Supplier management experience .
- Experience from working in a manufacturing company ( preferably FMCG )
Technical Skills:
- Strong negotiation skills - enjoys making a good deal
- Team player - experience of delivering within a cross-functional team
- Commercial awareness â understands cost drivers and enjoys doing business
- Clear and concise internal and external communication
- Ability to cope with high workload and deliver within tight deadlines
- Ability to prioritize and manage tasks and responsibilities
Soft skills:
- Must be detail oriented and logical
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to learn new technical concepts and software languages
- Strong verbal communication skills
- Able to work with minimal supervision
