Senior Cloud/DevOps Engineer

Roles & Responsibilities

1.Engineering Planning & Design:

Collaborate with development teams to understand their needs and ensure that cloud-based applications and services are deployed consistently and reliably.

Design, implement, and maintain cloud infrastructure for applications and services using cloud computing platforms (AWS).

Participate in capacity planning, disaster recovery planning, and security assessments to ensure the robustness and resilience of cloud infrastructure

2.Engineering Development

Automate infrastructure and deployment processes using tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or similar.

Deploy, configure, and optimize Kubernetes clusters to support containerized applications.

Monitor cloud-based services to ensure optimal performance, availability, scalability, and security. Implement corrective measures as needed.

Utilize Python for scripting and automation tasks, as well as for building custom tools and integrations.

Implement and maintain logging, monitoring, and alerting solutions using ELK stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana), Grafana, and other monitoring tools.

Troubleshoot and resolve production issues related to cloud infrastructure and deployment processes in a timely and effective manner.

Develop and maintain technical documentation for cloud infrastructure and deployment processes.

3.Team Development

Maintain knowledge of emerging cloud technologies and trends and incorporate them into the organization's cloud strategy to ensure competitiveness and effectiveness.

Act as a subject matter expert for cloud computing, providing guidance and support to other teams as needed.

Defining career paths for team members and helping them grow with regular coaching and mentoring.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in CS or IT

5-8 years of working experience with cloud computing platforms such as AWS.

Must have

Strong proficiency in cloud platforms, particularly AWS (certification is a plus).

Experience of AWS services like EKS, EC2, ECS, S3, ELB, IAM, VPC, CloudWatch, CloudFront, ECR, Lambda, RDS.

In-depth knowledge of Kubernetes for container orchestration and management.

Proficiency in scripting and automation with Python.

Strong experience with automation tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or similar.

Experience with monitoring and logging solutions such as ELK stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana), Grafana, Prometheus, etc.

Knowledge of containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.

Experience with continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines and tools like Jenkins and Bitbucket.
