Senior Cloud Consultant - FinOps

Job Description: Senior Cloud FinOps

• Key Responsibilities:

Understand and manage the sourcing process for Amazon Web Services (AWS), Azure, and/or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

• Have a financial understanding of Amazon EC2, Storage, Networking services, and Azure Storage and Networking services.

Track spending on AWS/Azure/GCP and understand marketplace and storefront offerings.

• Assist in the approval process of Statements of Work (SOW) and training initiatives for cloud services.

Internally track project growth and process monthly cloud billing and chargebacks.

• Work closely with the Finance team on chargeback code change requests.

Validate the accuracy of cloud utilization and billing data, investigate and track anomalies, and escalate issues to senior management as needed.

• Provide weekly detailed reports to management on usage and credit verifications.

Support the current IT Cloud Optimization Analyst and other IT professionals.

• Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Finance, or Accounting, or equivalent of 2+ years of professional work experience as a cloud analyst.

• Maintain current technical proficiency by engaging in AWS/Azure/GCP webinars, self-paced training, and completing the AWS Practitioner Training course.

• Required Skills:

3+ years experience using Outlook email and MS Office.

• 12+ months of experience using AWS/Azure/GCP tools (portal).

Excellent verbal and written communication skills with strong command of English.

• Ability to contribute to a diverse, inclusive, and respectful work environment.

Hands-on experience in managing forecasting and spend tracking processes.

• Analytical skills to gather and draw actionable insights from complex data.

Detail-oriented in creating tracking for various accounts and projects.

• Excellent quantitative data analysis skills.

• Key Requirements:

The ideal candidate should have significant experience in cloud technologies and financial operations (FinOps), with expertise in managing cloud services and financial processes.
