We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Construction Administrator to join our construction team. The Construction Administrator will play a crucial role in supporting the efficient operation of construction projects by providing administrative assistance to project managers, engineers, and other team members. The ideal candidate will have strong administrative skills, excellent communication abilities, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Provide administrative support to project managers, engineers, and construction teams, including document preparation, filing, and record-keeping.- Assist in the preparation and distribution of project documents, including contracts, proposals, specifications, and reports.
Coordinate meetings, appointments, and travel arrangements for project personnel.
- Maintain project calendars, schedules, and timelines, and update as necessary.
Manage project correspondence, including emails, phone calls, and mail, and ensure timely responses.- Prepare and distribute meeting agendas, minutes, and action items, and follow up on outstanding tasks.
Assist in the procurement of materials, supplies, and equipment for construction projects.
- Track project expenses, invoices, and budgets, and assist in the preparation of financial reports.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date project files and databases.- Assist in the coordination of subcontractors, vendors, and other stakeholders involved in construction projects.
High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred.- Previous experience in construction administration, project coordination, or administrative support role preferred.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and project management software.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.- Ability to multitask and prioritize workload effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Proactive approach to problem-solving and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Team player with a positive attitude and willingness to assist others.
Knowledge of construction terminology, processes, and procedures preferred.- Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and systems.
- Preferred Qualifications:
Certification in project management or construction administration.- Experience with construction document management
Familiarity with basic accounting principles and financial management.
- Previous experience working in the construction industry or related field.
