Job Purpose
Th is position as NetSuite functional owner reporting within the Chief Accounting Officer's organization is responsible for combining deep systems exper ience with advanced knowledge of Record to Report (R2R) processes and accounting domain expertise . Th e role requires proficiency in understanding business problem statements and translating to technical requirements that enable the IT organization to properly scope and deliver transformation initiatives within the NetSuite platform . The ideal candidate will drive process improvements through native system capabilities, automating financial report ing, and enhancing data integration across systems, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in the financial close process.

- Identify and implement process improvements and system enhancements to optimize financial operations and acceleration of the accounting close
- Establish, prioritize, maintain , and communicate accounting system roadmap across Finance and Accounting organization , including the ability to demonstrate capabilities in a development environment
- Leverage native NetSuite capabilities to deliver timel y and accurate financial reporting
- Develop and automate financial report ing within NetSuite to streamline processes and en sure data accuracy
- I ntegrate NetSuite with financial systems , including FloQast , Workiva, and Adaptive Planning, to ensure seamless data flow
- Prepare and review financial statements, schedules, and reports for internal and external stakeholders , e nsure adherence to accounting principles, policies, and standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address financial discrepancies and translate actionable technical requirements to solve business problems
- Develop and document processes and procedures to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of the R2R function through technology
- Research and analyse financial data , presenting findings and recommendations to internal stakeholders
- Coordinate and manage user acceptance testing (UAT) in conjunction with developing test scripts and documenting results
- Assist with special projects and corporate audits as needed, including data collection and fieldwork support.

To be considered for and to perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty and responsibility satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required .
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, information systems, or a related field. CA, CPA, or equivalent certification is a plus.
- 5-7 years of experience in Record to Report (R2R) functions within a global accounting organization .
- Implementation of NetSuite within a multinational environment across multiple types of currencies .
- Hands-on experience with NetSuite, including coding and automation of financial reports .
- Strong understanding of R2R processes, including account reconciliations, financial statement preparation, and audit coordination.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively under tight deadlines.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across departments and present financial information clearly.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office; Outlook, Excel, and Power Point
- Must thrive in a fast-paced, ever-changing atmosphere
- Ability to effectively prioritize and escalate issues as required
- Ability to work independently without constant supervision while being a member of the team
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously
