We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Senior Business Development Manager with a strong background in selling warehouse automation solutions, including Autonomous Mobile Robots (AMRs), order handling and fulfillment systems, augmented vehicles, automated forklifts, and other advanced warehouse technologies. The ideal candidate will have over 10 years of experience in business development and sales, with a proven track record of driving revenue growth. Experience in the USA market is a plus, as you will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, building relationships with key stakeholders, and expanding our customer base across industries such as retail, e-commerce, logistics, and manufacturing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sales Strategy & Execution:
- Develop and implement sales strategies to meet revenue targets in the warehouse automation space.
- Drive the full sales cycle, from lead generation to deal closure, with a focus on solutions like AMRs, automated order handling, packing, fulfillment, augmented vehicles, and automated forklifts.
- Focus on expanding and growing the business, particularly leveraging any USA market knowledge if applicable.
- Market Expansion:
- Identify new business opportunities and untapped markets to expand the company's footprint in warehouse automation solutions.
- Build a strong pipeline of potential customers, particularly in industries such as e-commerce, retail, logistics, and manufacturing.
- USA market experience is a plus, and candidates with this experience will be expected to leverage it to gain competitive advantages in the region.
- Customer Relationship Management:
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with C-level executives, decision-makers, and other key stakeholders in target companies.
- Conduct meetings, presentations, and demonstrations to communicate the value of our automation solutions.
- Technical Solution Selling:
- Collaborate closely with engineering and product teams to tailor solutions to customer needs, ensuring a perfect fit of automation technologies like AMRs, automated forklifts, and order fulfillment systems.
- Leverage a deep understanding of warehouse operations to demonstrate how automation solutions can reduce costs, enhance efficiency, and optimize warehouse performance.
- Business Development:
- Focus on long-term business development by fostering strategic partnerships and alliances that drive market growth.
- Participate in industry events, conferences, and trade shows to increase visibility and promote company offerings.
- Market Research & Analysis:
- Keep abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitive landscape in the warehouse automation space.
- Provide market feedback to internal teams to guide product development and improvement.
Key Qualifications:
- Experience:
- 10+ years of proven experience in sales and business development, specifically in selling warehouse automation solutions, including AMRs, order handling systems, automated forklifts, and related technologies.
- Experience in the USA market is a plus, but not mandatory.
- Industry Expertise:
- In-depth knowledge of warehouse automation, supply chain processes, and logistics operations.
- Strong network within industries like retail, e-commerce, logistics, and manufacturing.
- Sales Acumen:
- Strong track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets and KPIs.
- Experience with complex sales cycles, from initial outreach to negotiating and closing high-value deals.
- Technical Understanding:
- Familiarity with automation technologies, including robotics, AMRs, automated order handling/packing systems, augmented vehicles, and smart forklifts.
- Ability to articulate the technical benefits of warehouse automation and customize solutions based on client needs.
- Communication & Negotiation Skills:
- Exceptional communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to clearly convey the value proposition of automation solutions to non-technical decision-makers.
- Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- MBA or advanced degree is a plus.
