Job summary
Kaizen's UI/UX Designer will be responsible for the user experience and creative direction of new and existing web applications. The individual will have the opportunity to cover all aspects of the design process and will play a pivotal role in the usability, user experience and design of modern user interfaces on our projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Translate customer problems into high-level solutions, design workflows, detailed interactions, and visual designs
- Create simple and elegant solutions to complex content and information architecture problems
- Define a design standard for Kaizen, and champion a user-centered design process that always focuses on the needs of the customer
- Take ownership of the full UX lifecycle, including strategy, content, wireframing, prototyping, execution and analytics
- Facilitate conversations and workshops with stakeholders and collaborators, helping to define and implement innovative solutions for the product and experience
- Work with the product teams to ensure that the solutions being worked on are in accordance with their requirements
- Support and be an integral member of the technology team
- Support the Marketing team with an innovative approach
- Mentoring and peer reviewing the teams work, and defining UX/UI standards with the tea
Skills
Deep understanding of:
- Design tools (Figma, Sketch, Adobe Creative Suite, InVision, etc.)
- UX best practices, usability principles and WCAG accessibility guidelines.
- Ability to communicate in both technical and user-friendly language depending on the audience
- An understanding of user research and the benefits that these insights have on design solutions
Competent understanding of:
- Agile principles, processes and tools
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to articulate design rationale to both designers and stakeholders
Understanding of:
- Software development lifecycle best practices
- Frontend frameworks (React, Angular, Vue, etc.)
- Experience of developing customer facing digital applications and products and in launching customer focused digital products
- Obsessed with visual craft, beauty and quality
- Animations within Figma would be a bonus
- You will have the responsibility to lead usability, user experience and design of modern user interfaces on our projects as well as collaborating with talented individuals.
Experience
- 5+ years of working experience in UX/UI design
Qualifications/Training
- Bachelor's degree (or above) in any Computer Science or a related subject
- UX/UI additional qualifications
