Senior Backend Engineer

I am hiring for a leadingremote-first artificial intelligence startup, headquartered in Dubai.

They are MENA's leading Generative AI Platform that helps generate high-quality text, images, voice-overs, and music in seconds. It's an all-in-one tool to significantly boost content creation and productivity.

Fulltime Role

Designation: Senior Backend Engineer

Must have skills: Python with fastAPI

Good to have: Langchain, LLM, AI, ML knowledge, WebRTC

Required Skills:

Extensive experience with Python, FastAPI, and asynchronous concurrent web sockets

Proven expertise in designing and implementing microservices architectures

Strong knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS / Azure / GCP), with a focus on

serverless and containerized deployments

Experience with AI/ML technologies and integrations, particularly LangChain and OpenAI APIs

Proficiency in database design and management(SQL and NoSQL)

Solid understanding of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines

Bonus Skills:

Experience with WebRTC

Familiarity with vector databases and embeddings for AI applications

Knowledge of data privacy and security best practices, especially in handling sensitive user data

Responsibilities

1. Lead the backend team in designing, developing, and maintaining scalable systems for our AI Teammates platform.

2. Architect and implement robust APIs and WebSocket connections for real-time communication between our AI components and frontend applications.

3. Collaborate with AI experts to implement advanced agent architectures and agentic design patterns.

4. Ensure data privacy and security compliance, implementing encryption and access control measures.

5. Set up and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated testing and deployment across multiple cloud environments.

6. Mentor junior team members and foster a culture of technical excellence and innovation.

7. Participate in code reviews and maintain high coding standards across the backend team.
