The Streaming Solutions Engineer will be responsible for supporting all aspects of streaming for high quality video content and multiple facets of a video streaming workflow from real-time ingestion to Flam platform. This includes video transmission via cloud-based encoders. Flam is seeking a candidate that has deep and broad knowledge of streaming technologies and is familiar with modern streaming protocols.
Responsibilities
- Develop a world class streaming engine to serve high quality video content.
- Collaborate with Product Designers, Product Managers, and Software Engineers to design compression pipelines and video creation tools for content creators.
- Identify and resolve performance and scalability issues
Skills And Qualification
- 2+ years of experience in all aspects of video streaming
- Familiarity with AWS streaming services and remote streaming support
- Experience developing audio/video streaming servers or clients/players
- Understanding of professional broadcast protocols, including MPEG-TS and RTP
- Knowledge of streaming media protocols: HTTP Live Streaming (HLS), DASH, RTMP, RTSP, etc.
- Experience with Zixi, Elemental MediaConnect and Secure Reliable Transport
- Background in live events and live streaming, and knowledge of digital video platforms
