Job Summary
The Senior Azure Data Engineer will play a key role in leading and developing cloud-based analytics solutions. This position involves providing technical leadership, collaborating with business teams to understand requirements, and delivering data solutions that drive business insights. The Senior Engineer will utilize their expertise in Azure services to build and manage data pipelines, enhance analytics capabilities, and support complex data integration tasks.

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide technical leadership in areas such as data access and ingestion, data processing, data integration, data modeling, database design, and data visualization.
- Engage with Business IT leads, Architects, and stakeholders to understand business requirements, use cases, and translate them into detailed technical specifications.
- Design and develop cloud-based analytics solutions on the Azure platform, ensuring scalability and performance.
- Build and manage efficient data pipelines using API and streaming ingestion methods.
- Oversee the design and development of secure and optimized data models.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with business goals and data integration needs.
- Drive and promote the use of best practices for CI/CD processes and infrastructure as code.
- Provide leadership and mentorship to junior and mid-level engineers, fostering growth and ensuring quality delivery.
- Lead data security and governance efforts to ensure compliance and best practices across all analytics solutions.
- Manage customer engagement to fully understand their needs and provide analytics solutions that meet their expectations.
Requirements & Qualifications
Technical Skills- Core Requirements:
- 7+ years of experience in IT service delivery and operations, with a strong focus on global onshore and offshore business models.
- 5+ years of experience in the Azure Analytics space, including design, development, and deployment of analytics solutions.
- Expert level hands-on experience with Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure SQL, SQL scripting, Stream Analytics, Azure Data Lake, and Azure App Service.
- Strong expertise in designing and building data pipelines using API and streaming ingestion methods.
- In-depth knowledge of DevOps processes, including CI/CD and Infrastructure as Code.
- Proficiency in Python or Spark-SQL is desirable.
- Experience in developing security models for cloud-based environments.
Leadership & Business Skills
- Ability to analyze current business practices, identify gaps, and design scalable solutions for future business needs.
- Demonstrated experience in leading small and large teams to successfully deliver analytics solutions.
- Strong customer engagement skills, with a focus on understanding and meeting customer needs for Analytics solutions.
- Proven ability to work in a fast-paced agile environment and collaborate across teams to deliver on business requirements.
- Problem-solving and troubleshooting skills to quickly address issues and optimize solution performance.
Preferred Certifications
- Certified Azure Data Engineer or equivalent higher certification.

- Ability to lead by example, mentoring junior team members, and promoting best practices.
Educational Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
