Role Overview: We are looking for a Senior AWS Data Engineer with a strong background in Python, Apache Spark or PySpark, and SQL. The ideal candidate will have experience working with AWS cloud platforms, particularly with AWS Glue or AWS EMR, and Athena. The role involves working on data engineering projects, ensuring data quality, and leveraging various AWS services to build scalable data solutions.
Mandatory Skills and Experience:
- 3+ years of experience with Python.
- 3+ years of relevant experience with Apache Spark or PySpark.
- 3+ years of experience in writing advanced, complex SQL queries.
- 3+ years of experience on AWS Cloud Platform, including:
- AWS Glue or AWS EMR (at least one mandatory).
- Athena (mandatory).
- Proficiency in data engineering concepts and best practices.
Good to Have:
- Experience with Airflow or other scheduling tools.
- Knowledge of data modeling and warehouse strategy.
- Experience with Snowflake.
- Familiarity with AWS Redshift.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
