Role: Senior AWS Architect
Responsibilities
- Cloud Architecture Design: Develop and maintain cloud architecture blueprints and roadmaps, ensuring alignment with business goals and best practices.
- AWS Services Expertise: Be a subject matter expert in AWS services, including EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, ECS, VPC, IAM, and others, and recommend their appropriate use.
- Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Implement infrastructure as code using tools like AWS CloudFormation or Terraform to automate and standardize infrastructure provisioning.
- Security and Compliance: Design and implement security controls and compliance measures, ensuring data protection and adherence to industry regulations.
- Scalability and Performance: Optimize cloud infrastructure for scalability, performance, and cost efficiency, monitoring and making improvements as needed.
- Migration Strategies: Plan and execute the migration of on-premises workloads to AWS, utilizing various migration methodologies.
- High Availability: Design and implement highly available and fault-tolerant systems with AWS services like Auto Scaling, Elastic Load Balancing, and Multi-AZ deployments.
- Disaster Recovery: Create disaster recovery solutions and backup strategies for critical applications and data.
- Cost Management: Monitor and control AWS costs, provide cost-effective solutions, and analyze cost and usage reports.
- Team Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, system administrators, and network engineers, to ensure effective implementation of cloud solutions.
Qualifications
- Master's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Professional certification or equivalent.
- Minimum [X] years of experience as a cloud architect, with a significant focus on AWS.
- Strong understanding of cloud computing concepts, including virtualization, containers, and serverless.
- Experience with DevOps practices and tools, such as CI/CD pipelines.
- Knowledge of networking concepts, including VPN, VPC, and Direct Connect.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and lead technical discussions.
